Terms of Service

Welcome to CoFinish (www.cofinish.com, the "Service"), operated by an independent individual developer. By registering for or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

1. The Service

CoFinish is a presentation-building tool: upload PPTX, PDF or images, and with the help of AI they are converted into editable web presentations, with online editing, presenting and export.

AI is provided by third parties; the Service does not include AI. You must connect your own OpenAI API key, and that key/endpoint must meet the connection requirements published on our pricing page (currently access to the gpt-5.5 model and image generation; some compatible/relay endpoints may not support these). You pay your chosen provider directly for AI usage. You are solely responsible for the compliance, cost, availability and data handling of the endpoint you choose.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable use

• You warrant that you hold the lawful rights to the content you upload and that it does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
• You must not upload or generate unlawful, infringing, malicious or otherwise prohibited content.
• You must not reverse engineer, abuse, attack, circumvent billing, or resell the Service without permission.

4. Billing & payments

• Merchant of Record: all payments are processed and invoiced by Lemon Squeezy as the Merchant of Record, which also handles applicable taxes.
• How billing works: billed by the number of AI operations — the AI calls the software actually makes. A single user request may involve several operations (e.g., each generated image counts as 1; a batch edit that makes only one AI call counts as 1 even when it spans multiple pages), drawn from your monthly plan quota; manual editing, export and presenting do not consume operations. Export: free under 10 pages; exporting more than 10 pages requires a subscription, and subscribers get unlimited exports of any length.
• Plans: Free (20 free AI operations on sign-up); Basic at $4.99/month including 200 AI operations; Pro at $9.99/month including 500 AI operations. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel; the monthly quota resets each month and does not roll over.
• Price changes: we may change prices with reasonable advance notice; changes do not affect the current active subscription period.

5. Refunds

Refund and cancellation rules are set out in the Refund Policy. Refunds are processed via Lemon Squeezy to the original payment method.

6. Intellectual property

• Your content: you retain ownership of the content you upload and the results generated from it. You grant us the license necessary to process, store and display that content to provide the Service.
• Our assets: the Service's software, interface, trademarks and related intellectual property belong to the operator.

7. AI & third-party endpoint disclaimer

AI-generated results may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing them before use and for your final use of them. We make no warranty as to the accuracy or fitness of generated content.

AI is provided by the third-party endpoint you connect. Its availability, pricing, policies, rate limits and interruptions are determined by that third party; we make no warranty and are not responsible for any resulting loss, your API costs, or your account issues.

8. Service availability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may interrupt or change the Service for maintenance, upgrades or force majeure, and will try to minimize impact where reasonable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages; our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you actually paid to the Service in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

If you breach these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your account. You may also stop using and close your account at any time. Payment-related provisions survive termination.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced via the website or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal place of residence; payment-related matters are additionally subject to Lemon Squeezy's terms.
